Supporters Society
Thank you for visiting the Supporters Club section of the website. At our AGM last year we discussed the fact that the supporters Club was in the process of setting up as a Society. I can now happily confirm that this has been done and we achieved Society status on 31st January 2007.
So what does this mean to you, the loyal member or prospective member?
Well in the short term, not much as the supporters club will continue to run until the end of the current season whereupon it will then be encompassed by the Gretna Supporters Society Ltd.
It will continue to offer you away day travel, the opportuinity for discount on club merchandise and of course priority tickets for any cup games or all ticket matches we may be involved in next season. So all in all its business as usual, under a new name.
A copy of the Society rules are now available online for you to download and read at your leisure, whereby you will be able to understand the aims of the Society, which is to have better links with the community and the club as well as giving our shareholders more of a say in the club.
To this end if you would like to join and be part of the future of the club we would ask you to fill out and return the membership form for the supporters Society as when we have our AGM at the end of May 2007, only shareholders of the Society will be able to vote or stand for election.
The fee to buy your share for the first period which will last til August 2007 will be £1.00. Thereafter we will communicate with you to how much the fee will be for next year to continue to have a say in the club.
