Disability Football
Monday, October 29th, 2007A disability team recently represented the club in the National 7-a-side Championships at Grangemouth.
Under the guidance of Community Coaches Ross Murray and Kevin Somerville, they played some good football but unfortunately lost their four qualifying games.
Captain for the day Chris Corbett made an excellent contribution with two fantastic goals to give the Gretna team and their travelling support something to cheer about.
Members of the squad took to the pitch to demonstrate their shooting ability during half-time Gretna’s defeat to Inverness last weekend.
If you are interested in taking part in our disability football sessions, they take place at the Annan Academy Sports Hall on Wednesday evenings with Children’s classes between 5.30 and 6.00pm and Adult classes between 6.00pm and 6.45pm.
