We can be Fab
Thursday, December 20th, 2007Uruguayan star Fabian Yantorno hopes to strike up a successful partnership with Kenny Deuchar when he returns to action this weekend.
Yantorno missed the 3-3 draw at Kilmarnock through suspension but is available for the trip to Dundee United on Saturday.
And he believes playing alongside Deuchar will have a positive effect on his game.
“Kenny is a very good player and he will be a big help to both me and the team,” he said.
“He is a good target man and will hold the ball up, which is something we haven’t done very well so far this season.”
“You could see on Saturday against Kilmarnock he kept the ball up front and allowed the midfielders to support and join in the attack.”
“That will be good for my game and it will give me more freedom going forward. He also brings an aerial threat and that is something else we have lacked.”
“We haven’t been in the same team yet but we have been doing well in training and hopefully we can continue that on the pitch.”
“It’s been two weeks now since I have played a game so I am looking forward to Saturday,” he continued.
“It will be hard for us as they are a good team at home but we beat them in September and we are confident we can do it again.”
“We have a lot of games coming up over Christmas and New Year so it is a very important time for us.”
“It will be very different for me this year but I am looking forward to it. In Uruguay, the season is split into two halves and you have four weeks off over Christmas.”
“But we have five games in fifteen days here and they could have a big effect on our season. I think we need to win at least two of those to give ourselves a good chance.”
