Community Statement

It is with regret that the club announce that all community activities have been suspended indefinitely.

Coaches Kevin Somerville, Darren Edmondson, Paul Menlove, Ross Murray, David Bradbury and Kenni Dinnell have been made redundant on a day of cutbacks at the club.

We would like to offer our sincere apologies to everyone affected by today’s news.

“On behalf of the community team, I would like to thank all the participants we have had on the programme in the last three years,” said Kevin Somerville.

“Thanks also to all parents, schools, local partners and sponsors for their help in delivering our events and activities.”

“It’s not just the community coaches who are affected by this, it will affect other peoples’ lives too.”

“We coach kids from as young as five, as well as disabled people, and they might not get another opportunity like this.”

“It saddens me that it has ended in this way but it is beyond our control.”
